Carly is dedicated to maintaining positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and services providers, all while supporting the firm’s mission to deliver exceptional legal services. Lisa Heitsenrether serves as the lead paralegal for Jackson Law Firm’s estate administrations. She is part of a team of highly trained, Pennsylvania certified estate paralegals who work with our firm’s attorneys and staff to expertly support and guide executors and administrators through probate and the complexities of the estate administration process. Estate administrations are a lengthy process. Even the most organized estates take a significant amount of time to fully complete due to the nature of filings with the state and the IRS. As a Case Specialist / Legal Analyst for Jackson Law Firm, Alexia supports the firm’s attorneys and clients in the areas of estate and trust administration, entity formation, business, and real estate law. She seamlessly coordinates the firm’s legal teams and processes to ensure that each client receives the highest level of service, with each case handled efficiently and professionally throughout the firm’s pipeline.

Before transitioning to law, Alexia thrived in the fast-paced, high-stakes environment of pharmacy, where she honed her expertise in case management and consistently exceeded client expectations. Drawing on her experience in both fields, Alexia approaches every legal challenge with a unique perspective, always prioritizing client satisfaction and quality outcomes.

Whether working with attorneys, team members, or clients, Alexia is committed to delivering exceptional service and ensuring that every case is handled with the care and attention it deserves.

Alexia graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University with a B.S. in Political Science. She contemplates attending law school in the future, but for the time being is enjoying her career in the legal field.

Cassie Troup brings over two decades of leadership and operational expertise to her role as Chief Operations Officer at Jackson Law Firm. Prior to joining the legal field, Cassie spent 17 years in the insurance industry, where she managed claims and underwriting operations with precision and care. She later served as the Deputy Managing Director of multiple insurance pools and two Vermont captives, overseeing complex risk structures and organizational strategies across state lines.

Now at Jackson Law Firm, Cassie leads with the same clarity and drive that defined her insurance career—streamlining operations, guiding team performance, and ensuring every professional communication reflects the firm’s values of integrity, excellence, and empathy. Her background in risk management and high-level administration brings a strategic lens to serve our team and client experience.

Cassie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State University and holds her Property & Casualty License in Pennsylvania. She lives in Camp Hill with her husband and two children, balancing her dynamic professional life with a vibrant family life rooted in community and connection. Outside of work, Cassie is an avid ice hockey enthusiast—her husband, son, and daughter all play the sport, making the rink a second home and a source of shared energy, discipline, and camaraderie.

Abigail (Abby) Pennell brings over 5 years of scheduling and front office management experience to the Jackson Law Firm team. She previously focused her career in the dental industry and transitioned seamlessly into the legal field, providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients.

Abby was born and raised in Lancaster County and currently resides in Millersburg with her boyfriend and three cats. She is an avid reader of fantasy and mystery novels and loves to bake and travel for college football games.

Jen Larson Thompson joined the Jackson Law Firm team as Legal Analyst / Case Manager in October 2021. Jen earned her J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in May 2021 and plans to sit for the February 2022 Pennsylvania Bar. In addition to her law degree, Jen has bachelor's degrees from Indiana University in Psychology and Criminal Justice.

Prior to transitioning her focus to the law, Jen had a successful 10-year sales and marketing career in media and the private sector. As a result, she brings a consultative approach to assisting our clients with their needs. Outside of work, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband Rob, their chinchilla, cooking, running and attending live music events.

Since joining Jackson Law Firm in 2018, Aimee has become an integral member of our client services team. Whether supporting internal operations or facilitating the details of a specific case, Aimee works closely with all members of the firm to ensure a seamless process for our clients. Aimee proactively identifies client needs, drafts trust and estate planning documents, facilitates client / attorney communications, and ensures our clients and their advisors receive exceptional service from the moment they are introduced to Jackson Law Firm.

Aimee has three children that keep her busy outside of work, along with her 90+ pound German Shephard! She is also a licensed stylist and enjoys helping her friends and loved ones look their very best for weddings, proms and other special events.

Ashley Shoemaker joined the Jackson Law Firm team in November 2021 as an administrative coordinator and was quickly promoted to Legal Assistant in February 2022. Her background in administrative work and her compassion for people allow her to excel in all aspects of client and staff service and support. Ashley provides administrative support to the firm’s managing attorney, associate attorney, and senior estates paralegal.

When she’s not at work, Ashley enjoys being with her two children, and spending time with family and friends. Whenever she has free time, you’ll find her with a paint brush in hand as she is also an artist.

Jessica Paden joined the Jackson Law Firm team in December 2019 as an administrative assistant. She quickly found a passion for the law and began her Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC). While mastering her Estates and Estate Planning coursework, Jessica became an integral part of the legal processes within the firm and was promoted to the position of Paralegal. She currently supports the firm’s estate administration and corporate services departments, specializing in entity formations and real estate transactions.

Prior to joining Jackson Law Firm, Jessica served in a variety of customer service-related positions fostering an unparalleled service-focused mindset. Jessica is committed to the client experience and ensures every interaction with the firm is welcoming, positive, and precise. She is a person you will be glad to have met.

When not working in and studying the law, Jessica enjoys spending time with her children, extended family, and friends. She also enjoys getting lost in a good book and has a passion for writing.

Julia M. Jackson serves as the CEO/CFO for Jackson Law Firm, PLLC supporting the firm’s operations in the areas of finance and accounting, business development, office management and client relations. She also supports the firm’s business owner clients in the areas of human resource management and employee benefits.

Prior to joining Jackson Law Firm, PLLC in 2016, Julia served as the Deputy Director, Insurance Pool Operations for the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP), and the Executive Director for the Society of County Human Resource Professionals of Pennsylvania (SCHRPP).

Julia is graduate of Liberty University with bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing Concentration. She is a licensed insurance producer in areas of Accident and Health, Life and Fixed Annuities.

Kristen Snyder, Esq. joined Jackson Law Firm at its inception in 2016. She brings over 15 years of extensive experience in the areas of specialty trusts, estate planning, and estate administration. Additionally, Kristen supports the firm’s business clients, specializing her practice in the areas of business law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate counseling, and governance services.

Kristen earned her JD / MBA at Pepperdine University and her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Messiah College. She resides in Mechanicsburg with her family.

Aaron C. Jackson, Esq. is the founder of Jackson Law Firm, PLLC, a boutique law firm focusing exclusively on trust, estate and business planning services, including asset protection, tax planning and charitable planning. Additionally, Jackson Law Firm, PLLC provides business counsel and merger and acquisition services to its business owner clients.

Prior to founding Jackson Law Firm, PLLC, Aaron served as a shareholder for two premier Harrisburg law firms in their tax, estates and trusts practice groups. He has dedicated his career to serving the needs of clients in the Central Pennsylvania region and throughout the Commonwealth.

In addition to his legal practice, Aaron has served on several community boards and committees to include:  the Estate Planning Council of Central Pennsylvania Board of Directors (Past President), Bethesda Mission Board of Directors (Past President), the West Shore YMCA Board of Directors, the Carole Landis Foundation for Social Action Board of Directors, Chambersburg Country Club Board of Directors (Past President), and the West Shore Country Club Board of Directors. Aaron is also a member of Tocqueville Society of the United Way of Central PA.

Aaron is a graduate of the Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University, class of 2005. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Liberty University in 2001.

Executive Assistant/Licensed PA Real Estate Agent

Carrie was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. She has a working knowledge of the local real estate market and is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the Commonwealth of Pa. Before coming to Walters Appraisal Services, she was employed by Dunn & Bradstreet and Superior On-Line Information Services where she performed managerial duties along with being a quality approval editor.

She enjoys going to live music events, in particular hearing her husband, Darren, perform. She also enjoys spending time at home with Darren & their dog, being outdoors close to nature, bird/hawk watching, going on motorcycle rides, camping and similar activities.
